The Winter Park Boat Parade & Festival of Lights will be a fun, communitywide water parade complete with decorated backyards, docks, and boats, all garnished in holiday lights and decor. It will be a time where families and friends will gather in their backyards, Dinky Dock, or The Albin Polasek Museum to view the impressive, local creativity of residents and local business sponsors.

Boat Contest — All Winter Park licensed boat owners are invited to enter their boat in the event. The fee for boat entry is $50 per residential boat. All registered boats will be judged by a local panel of notable Winter Park residents. Winning boats will be awarded prizes donated by local businesses based on the Best Overall Boat and the Best Holiday-themed Boat.

Maximum boat sizes are as follows:
  - 21 feet in length for regular boats, 8 feet wide
  - 24 feet in length for pontoon boats, 8 feet wide
